To become a member of IAABO Board 173, new members must complete the following five steps:
- Obtain a MSHSAA number
All officials must register with the The Missouri State High School Athletic Association (MSHSAA). To get started with your MSHSAA registration, visit the MSHSAA Officials page.
- Contact IAABO 173
After you receive your MSHSAA number, contact IAABO 173 with the following information to register with IAABO 173 with this Membership Application.
- Attend the IAABO 173 Jamboree
- Official Development Program (ODP): Members with less than a year's experience in officiating must participate in the IAABO 173 Official Development Program (ODP). This program matches new officials with a mentor to improve their skills and help them achieve their officiating goals.
Note: Members with 1-3 years of officiating experience are also encouraged to participate in the ODP Program, but it is not required.
- Attend IAABO 173 Meetings: (hyperlink to Meetings page). There are two IAABO 173 meetings in the fall (rules calibration) and one meeting in the spring (administrative and social).
