The IAABO Jamboree is perhaps the premiere High School Team Basketball Camp in the St. Louis area. Organized and hosted by IAABO, the leading area teams come together to compete over a Monday-Thursday period in the last week of June.
In addition to a great opportunity for the teams and coaches to get together and play, the Jamboree is a training opportunity for IAABO officials. IAABO members, all MSHSAA certified, referee all games under the supervision of veteran officials who serve as clinicians. Individual calls, mechanics and positioning, team officiating, and game management are evaluated and reviewed in real time. It is a terrific opportunity to learn the fine points of officiating while having fun refereeing competitive games. Each official is rated on each game they work with the ratings used to determine their assignments in the coming high school basketball season.
IAABO also sponsors a Junior Jamboree for grade school level teams. This is a one day training opportunity. As with the High School Jamboree, veteran officials serve as clinicians and evaluators. Both are a proven way to advance your officiating knowledge and skills. |
